Yesterday, Cicero District 99 teamed up with Town President Larry Dominick and the Board of Trustees to host the BIGGEST and BEST Back To School Fair this town has ever seen — and the results? Absolutely unforgettable. 

Cicero Community Park was transformed into a celebration of education, family and community. Thousands of families poured in with excitement in the air and smiles all around — and every detail shouted excellence. 

🎒FREE backpacks and school supplies flew off the tables, helping ensure our students are ready to succeed from Day 1.
🍿 Hot dogs, chips, snow cones, popcorn — the treats were endless
🎶 Live music by Electro Retro kept the energy sky high, and our very own D99 Concert Band delivered a show-stopping performance that made us beam with pride.
👕 Families could purchase school uniforms, meet administrators, and get real answers about the year ahead — all in once place.
 💥Sonic the Hedgehog and Hello Kitty showed up alongside our beloved school mascots to light up the kids faces with surprise and joy!

What really takes this event over the top was the incredible work of the Town's Special Events Department. They don't just help — they redefine what a back to school fair can be:

🎢 Lines of bounce houses
🚂 Train rides through the park
🌊 A splash pad through the park
🧗 A towering rock climbing wall
🐐 A full petting zoo (llamas, and goats, and donkeys — oh my!)
🐴 Pony rides!

Finally, a massive THANK YOU to our dozens of local community vendors and partners who showed up and showed out — including our friends at: Cicero Police Department, Cicero Fire Department, Cicero Public Library, J. Sterling Morton High School District 201, and the Morton Arboretum! 

Let's be honest: Nobody does it like Cicero. We set the standard! This wasn't just an event. It was a movement. A moment. A memory. This is how you kick off a school year — with heart, with purpose, and with unmatched community pride.
