🚨 COMMUNITY UPDATE ON LINCOLN SCHOOL FIRE (Sunday, Aug. 24)

Posted Date: 8/23/25 (8:30 AM)

As you all have been made aware, a fire occurred at Lincoln School over the weekend.

Although the fire itself was contained to a small portion of one classroom, the water damage caused as a result of the sprinkler system activating has left all kindergarten and first-grade classrooms with significant damage.

We are pleased to report that all students and staff will continue to attend classes as scheduled within Lincoln; however, all kindergarten and first-grade students and staff will be reassigned to new classrooms throughout the day on Monday, Aug. 25.

Arrival procedures for students will remain the same until further notice. Therefore, we ask that all students line up in their previously indicated areas. As classroom assignments are created, parents will be notified.

We are confident that this plan will prioritize the safety and security of all of our students and staff, while also leaving minimal disruptions to learning.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school’s principal, Alison Espinoza.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility during this difficult time, and we look forward to seeing all of our students, families and staff tomorrow morning.

Sincerely,

Dr. Aldo Calderin

Superintendent
