Cicero West Elementary School has something HUGE to celebrate — our talented students shined in Metra's 19th Annual Safety Art Competition! This year's theme, "Rail Safety is Not a Game", challenged kids across Chicagoland to think big, get creative, and spread the word about safety near the rails.

🚦Our students didn't just participate... they submitted the MOST entries of any school! That amazing effort earned Cicero West the honor of Top Participating School, complete with a special plaque and two brand-new Hover-1 scooters with helmets.

A huge shoutout to art teacher, Leticia Miller, for inspiring and motivating students to take part in this exciting challenge.

And now for the fun part... we're sharing all 61 submissions so you can see the creativity in action! From colorful designs to imaginative takes on safety, our Kindergarteners through third graders poured their hearts into this project.
