🍄 MUSHROOM MADNESS: D99 SHINES AT 57TH ANNUAL HOUBY DAY PARADE! 🍄
What a beautiful day! Generations of tradition met the energy of the future as Cicero District 99 proudly marched in an annual celebration that continues to bring our community together year after year.
Students and staff filled the streets with school spirit — waving banners, riding floats, marching proudly with their mascots, and spreading smiles every step of the way.
Our band delivered a powerful soundtrack of pride, while the Unity Jr. High and Warren Park Elementary School Dance Teams turned Cermak Road into a stage — their performances igniting the crowd and reminding everyone what community looks like when it moves in rhythm together.
A heartfelt thank-you to Town of Cicero President Larry Dominick and the Board of Trustees for keeping this incredible tradition thriving. Their leadership continues to honor our town's rich heritage while creating space for new generations to take part.
And to our first responders — police, fire, and the brave men and women who protect Cicero and our neighboring suburbs — yesterday's cheers were also for you.
The spirit of Houby Day is more than a parade — it's a reflection of who we are: proud, united, and full of life.
