At last week's board meeting, Cicero District 99 approved the official calendar for the 2026-2027 school year.

👉 To be crystal clear: This calendar is NOT for the current school year. It applies to NEXT school year only!

Here are the key highlights:
📌 First Day Of School is Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026: Because of how the calendar falls, it will feel like students & staff get one extra week of summer break this year! 
📌 Return from Winter Break is Monday, Jan. 4, 2027: In recent years students had that Monday off, this has changed for 2026-2027.
📌 Spring Break 2027 (NOT this Year) is Friday, March 26- Friday, April 2, with a Teacher Institute Day on Monday, April 5 and Parent Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, April 6. 
📌 Last day of school will be Thursday, May 27
