🎶 OLÉ OLÉ OLÁ! MI AMIGO HAMLET AND ALINA CELESTE VISIT LINCOLN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 🎸
Last week, the cafeteria of Lincoln Elementary School came alive in the most unforgettable way.
Students gathered together for a one-of-a-kind musical assembly featuring the amazing duo Mi Amigo Hamlet and Alina Celeste — award winning children's musicians who travel across the country bringing music, culture, and joy to schools and communities.
From the moment the first guitar chord rang out, the energy in the room was electric.
Children weren't just sitting and watching — they were singing, dancing, clapping, laughing, and learning. Voices echoed across the room as students joined in bilingual songs, moving seamlessly between English and Spanish while discovering the magic of music together.
It wasn't just a performance. It was an experience.
Mi Amigo Hamlet, a Guatemalan-born musician and artist who has been teaching through music for more than two decades, and Alina Celeste, an internationally touring children's musician and educator, have dedicated their careers to connecting children through creativity, culture, and language.
And you could feel that passion in every moment.
Students learned that music is more than sound — it's a bridge between cultures, languages, and people. With rhythms inspired by Latin American traditions and playful storytelling woven into every song, the assembly turned into a joyful celebration of diversity, creativity, and community.
There were smiles everywhere.
Hands clapped to the beat. Feet stomped along with the rhythm. And for a little while, the school was filled with the universal language of music.
Experiences like this remind us why the arts matter. They spark imagination, build confidence, and bring people together in ways that words alone never could.
A huge thank you to Mi Amigo Hamlet and Alina Celeste for bringing their energy, talent, and heart to Lincoln Elementary. Our students will be talking about this musical adventure for a long time!
