☀️ GOODWIN METEOROLOGISTS: OUR KINDERGARTENERS CAPTURED ALL FOUR SEASONS! 🌸

Posted Date: 03/05/26 (03:02 PM)

Last week, our kindergarteners at Goodwin Elementary became meteorologists.

As part of their weather unit, each student created a season diorama — choosing between Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter — and the results were nothing short of incredible.

What started as a simple class project turned into something much more. Tiny worlds made from construction paper, cotton "snow," bright flowers, falling leaves, and shining suns. Each box told a story about how these young minds see the seasons around them.

Some students built snowy playgrounds and cozy winter scenes. Others filled their boxes with blooming flowers and buzzing springtime life. There were sandy summer beaches, bright suns, and colorful autumn forests covered in falling leaves.

But the best part wasn't the materials. It was the imagination.

Listening to them explain their creations felt like watching little meteorologists at work — describing snowstorms, sunshine, falling leaves, and spring rain with excitement only a kindergartener can bring.

And it made us think... Winter is slowly coming to a close. You can almost smell spring in the air. Summer break will be here before we know it. And what about fall?

Which season is your favorite — and why?

The seasons may change every year, but one thing doesn't: When children learn through creativity, curiosity, and imagination... the results are always something special. Our Gators proved that!
