D99 student artwork to be showcased at North Riverside Park Mall's 50th Anniversary Celebration

District 99 Community,
This spring, North Riverside Park Mall in neighboring North Riverside is turning 50!
To help celebrate this milestone anniversary celebration community-style, this winter, the mall held a call for youth artists, inviting Cicero District 99 students to submit their one-of-a-kind artwork for a chance to be permanently featured in the mall's food court and upper level near JCPenney.
Some artwork features the mall itself, while others celebrate the great diversity of the shoppers who patronize the mall day in and day out.
To celebrate 50 years of fantastic local shopping and see the final selections of student artwork unveiled, come join District 99 and North Riverside Park Mall next Saturday, March 21 for "Communities & Canvas: A Cultural Tapestry!"
The event, which will coincide with the mall's anniversary celebration, will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the mall's lower level court, where the mall's general manager will share a message before leading guests to the unveiling of the food court's large banners and the wall of artwork next to JCPenney.
