In Cicero District 99, hundreds of paraprofessionals show up each day with unwavering dedication, compassion, and strength. They are the quiet heroes who rarely seek recognition but deserve it more than words can express. 

They support students with diverse needs — guiding those in special education with patience and expertise, empowering multilingual learners as they find their voice, and keeping our media centers vibrant and accessible. They step in wherever they are needed, often anticipating challenges before they arise, and meeting them with grace. 

Their work goes far beyond instruction. They build trust. They create safe spaces. They celebrate small victories that others might miss, knowing that those moments are everything. They offer encouragement when a student feels defeated, consistency when a student needs stability, and kindness that can change the course of a child's day — or even their life.
