Cicero District 99 proudly celebrates two unforgettable seasons from the Unity Junior High Girls Soccer Program — seasons built on grit, resilience, teamwork, and heart.

Let's start with the 8th Grade Varsity Team... the 2026 West Suburban Conference Champions. Final record: 10-0-1. Undefeated. Dominant. Historic.

👀 But here's the stat that truly tells the story: Not one goal scored against them all season.

That's right — an entire season of lockdown defense, relentless effort, and complete trust in one another. Every practice, every sprint, every save, every tackle... it all added up to perfection on the field.

And the road to the championship? It couldn't have been scripted better.

With only 9 minutes remaining in the conference title match, severe weather forced the game to be suspended. Most teams would lose momentum. Most teams would struggle to reset. But not this group.

Four days later, they came back, finished what they started, and cemented their legacy as champions.

That's more than soccer. That's composure. That's toughness. That's UNITY. 

And the future is just as bright.

The 7th Grade JV Team delivered a tremendous season of their own, finishing 5-1-4 and earning 1st place in the regular season standings. They battled every match with determination and represented Unity with pride from the opening whistle to the final seconds of the year.

Although their season ended in a heartbreaking semifinal loss, this team showed something special all year long — resilience, growth, and the kind of chemistry that builds future champions.

Wins and championships matter. But what makes this program truly special is the way these student-athletes compete for each other, overcome adversity, and represent their school and community with pride.

The scoreboard tells part of the story. The character they showed tells the rest.
