THE MAGIC OF MATH: INTERACTIVE STUDENT ASSEMBLY AT WILSON PROVES MATH IS MORE THAN JUST NUMBERS ✖️➗➕➖
On Wednesday, students at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School were in for a real treat as the Mathical Mystery Tour stopped by the building for a day full of laughs and hands-on play — all in the name of practicing math skills!
The Mathical Mystery Tour is a high-energy, interactive school assembly for grades K-5 designed to teach math concepts through magic, puzzles and audience participation. It aligns with STEM curriculum standards, with students invited to join the performer to explore number sense and geometry, turning math into a real show. At each assembly, the presenter focuses on turning skeptical students into engaged participants by revealing the secrets behind the math-based illusions.
Though the school year may be coming to a close next week, the assembly was a strong reminder that math skills go beyond the classroom walls — they are always reaching out into the real world, and can pop up in places kids may have never expected!
