Junior high school is officially history for hundreds of teens across Cicero! 

This Tuesday and Wednesday, Unity Junior High School held commencement ceremonies for eighth graders, where hundreds of students proudly walked across the Unity Commons for the last time to receive their diplomas, celebrating the culmination of their D99 school years.

From moving student speeches and moving words from District administrators and Board members, to smiles flashing across the screens of parents' phone cameras, the ceremonies were a full-on celebration of Unity eighth graders for their many elementary-school career accomplishments.

Whether our recent grads are headed off to a high school near or far, the administration and staff of Cicero District 99 wish all 2026 graduates and their families the best of luck! 🎉
