🚓 BEYOND BADGES: NATIONAL NIGHT OUT BRINGS CICERO FAMILIES AND FIRST RESPONDERS TOGETHER! 🚒

This is what community looks like. Cicero District 99 had an incredible time joining the Town of Cicero, our first responders, and families from across our community for National Night Out!

Yes, there were games. Yes, there were treats. And yes, there were plenty of smiles. But National Night Out is about something much bigger.

It is about bringing people together. It is about giving children the opportunity to meet the police officers, firefighters, and first responders who serve their community — not during an emergency, but during an evening filled with laughter, conversation and fun.

It is about neighbors meeting neighbors. Families spending time together. Children making memories. And the people and organizations who serve Cicero reminding our families that community is something we build together.

And the Town of Cicero went ALL OUT to make that happen!

And so much more! They even had some special visitors!

Wendy's stopped by with sweet treats for families, while Target helped students get ready for the school year by giving away backpacks, snacks and school supplies!
Everywhere you looked, there was something happening — but the best part wasn't any single attraction.

It was seeing Cicero together. Children laughing with their families. First responders talking with the people they protect and serve. Neighbors enjoying an evening together. Community organizations showing up for our families.

Those moments matter.

Strong communities aren't built only inside government buildings, schools, police stations or firehouses. They're built when we step outside of those buildings, meet one another, build relationships and remind ourselves that we're all part of something bigger.

That is why events like National Night Out are so important.

We are incredibly grateful to Town of Cicero President Larry Dominick, the Board of Trustees, and the Department of Special Events for continuing to go above and beyond to create opportunities that bring our community together.

And to every District 99 family who came out, said hello, played a game, took a train ride, met a first responder, visited the animals, grabbed a treat or simply spent the evening with your neighbors:
