🍄 CICERO, HOUBY FEST IS HERE — AND D99 IS READY! 🍄

One of Cicero's favorite traditions is back! International Houby Fest & Parade 2026 takes over the community Thursday, October 1 through Sunday, October 4, and this is one weekend you'll want to experience with the whole family.

Head over to 34th Street & Laramie Avenue for four days of carnival rides, great food, live entertainment, English and Latin music, and plenty of family fun — with FREE Admission! 

🎡 And while you're enjoying the festival, look for the Cicero District 99 trailer! Stop by, say hello, and take a spin on our big prize wheel for a chance to go home with some merch.

But whatever you do this weekend... Don't Miss Sunday!

📣 The Houby Parade steps off Sunday, October 4 at 12:00 PM, beginning at 50th Avenue and traveling west along Cermak Road to 59th Court. And Cicero District 99 is coming out in full force! Every D99 school will be represented in the parade.

Our students and staff will proudly march down Cermak carrying their school banners, while D99 floats bring some familiar faces along for the ride — including district leadership, Board of Education members, and school mascots!

🥁 You'll also want to listen for the D99 Band and watch for the Unity Junior High Dance Team, who will be marching and performing along the parade route.

For our students, there's something special about walking down Cermak and seeing the sidewalks filled with the people who support them every day. So let's fill those sidewalks.

Bring the kids. Bring Grandma and Grandpa. Find a spot along Cermak. Watch for your school banner. Wave to your mascot. Take some pictures. And when your school comes marching past...

👏 MAKE SOME NOISE! Let our students look out into that crowd and see their families, neighbors, teachers, classmates, and community cheering them on.

Houby Fest has been bringing generations of Cicero families together for decades. This weekend, come be part of the tradition.
