STAYING THE COURSE: UNITY CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS FINISH STRONG AT ANNUAL CONFERENCE MEET 🏃🏃‍♀️💨

Despite muddy course conditions and various aches and pains, the boys and girls from Unity Junior High School's cross country teams maintained team spirit and finished strong at their final race of the season last Friday, Oct. 2 at the West Suburban Middle School Conference Meet at Summit Park District in south suburban Summit.

Charting the half grass/half cement course, Unity runners raced to the finish, expending all of their energy on the 2-mile course against runners from neighboring schools, including Heritage Middle School (Summit), Lincoln Middle School (Berwyn), Heritage Middle School (Berwyn), Roosevelt Middle School (Bellwood), Freedom Middle School (Berwyn) and Stevenson Middle School (Melrose Park).

Though Unity didn't bring home any placing trophies, many runners ended their seasons with personal best times, preparing them for the competition ahead either next year in eighth grade or at the high school level!

Congratulations to all Unity Tigers cross country runners for going the distance this fall and successfully completing the cross country season!
